I titled this blog “what a world we live in” because it seems to me to be very appropriate for the world we live in right now. It seems as if people have lost their minds, and not only that, but they go out and prove it on camera almost every day. If it were not for Yahshua I would go nuts, and just would not go out anymore. But Praise be to Yahweh we have His promise of keeping us.
Our political figures today seem to have gone off the deep end as well. I am 62 years old, and I have never seen political figures work so hard at blocking any work to get anywhere as I see today. Now I voted Republican, and it would be easy to turn a blind eye ans say it is the Democratic party who is the real problem, but if I am going to be truthful I have to say it is all of them. There seems to be nothing getting done real fast.
This country is going down hill fast, and quite frankly the enemies of America realy do not have to do anything, because if things don’t change, America will take itself down. I would have thought that Republicans would have taken this opportunity to get as much done as they possibly could, but they aren’t agreeing on anything. They all want to be the one that gets it done, they want to have the glory themselves instead of sharing that glory by working together.
Now there are a lot of things I really don’t care about, but I draw the line at Biblical moral issues, and that gets me going. Morality in America is at an all time low. And to tell you the truth it should not be, especially for believers. Believers ought to be able to look at Scripture and tell if something is moral or not moral in Yahweh’s sight, but that is not happening either. One of those things is abortion. And I would like to point out I said one of them, even though I believe it is an important one.
Let’s look at Ezekiel 16:20-22, “You even took your sons and daughters you bore to Me and sacrificed them to these images as food. Wasn’t it your prostitution enough? You slaughtered My children and gave them up when you passed them through the fire to images. In all your detestable practices and acts of prostitution, you did not remember the days of your youth when you were stark naked and lying in your blood.” Now there are more passages that speak to this, but this one will work for now.
In this passage, we can see a couple of things. One, the children belong to Yahweh and really are supposed to be a blessing from Him to us. The idea is that we are not to use abortion as a tool to cover the things we do that we shouldn’t be doing, and Scripture speaks to that as acting like prostitutes. It isn’t the child’s fault for being conceived.
Look at what Jeremiah 1:5 says, “I chose you before I formed you in the womb; I set you apart before you were born. I appointed you a prophet to all the nations.” This tells us that Yahweh is the One who formed us in the womb, it is Him who has given this child to us. So, we shouldn’t take this child lightly.
Senator Rand Paul a Republican from Kentucky put up a video, and I have it on my facebook explaining that it has been left up to Congress to defined when life begins and if we will do our job and file petitions to get this on the floor, that they will be able to define life as beginning at conception and put away with abortion on demand. If we do that we can begin to turn this stuff around.
For believer’s this should not be a difficult issue. In John 16:13, Yahshua is speaking to His disciples and preparing them for His departure. He says this to them that He is going to send them another comforter, “He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak whatever He hears. He will also declare to you what is to come.” He will lead us and guide us.
Now what I am saying to you, isn’t about all of you going out and getting politically involved and joining in on the craziness, but let your voice on this matter be the voice of the unborn to save the unborn from the death that has been going on for far too long in America.
